There were many highlights from 2023 – from the hundreds of solar panel and battery installations we completed across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and London, to new groundbreaking projects and partnerships. We also welcomed new members of the TLGEC team. 

2023 in numbers

Last year was very busy for The Little Green Energy Company, and we’re proud of the results we achieved for homes and businesses across the South-East:

Total installed solar

3.9 megawatts of power from approximately 9,300 solar panels

This will produce 3.642MWh of electricity in a year in total expected annual generation, saving customers a huge £1,057,000 per annum (based on an average electricity cost of 29p/kWh).

Total carbon offset

This will offset a massive 1,104 tonnes CO2 every year. This is equivalent to:

• 73,968 trees being planted
• 2,760,000 miles in an internal combustion engine car – almost 111 times round the world!
• 132,480,000 smartphone charges
• 552,000 litres of diesel consumed

Total installed battery capacity was 75MWh, enough to run 20 average homes for a year!

We partnered with INTILION AG to install the UK’s first battery storage system of its kind

We completed our first installation with INTILION AG, one of the leading manufacturers of energy storage systems in Europe. We helped W Robinson, an Essex industrial pump supplier, make significant savings on their energy bills by storing and using 54,000 KWh annually, with a system consumption of 77.6%.

We joined forces with Zestec Renewable Energy

We formed a strategic partnership with Zestec – who help commercial and industrial businesses benefit from renewable energy through flexible financing options. Together we can help businesses across the South-East make huge long term savings by taking advantage of solar power.

Looking ahead to 2024

This year is going to be another very exciting one for TLGEC. With a huge variety of solar PV and battery projects in the pipeline, we’re looking forward to helping more homeowners and businesses save money long term and reduce their environmental impact. 

ISO certification 

Soon we’ll be ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. These are a demonstration of our commitment to quality and excellence, also making it easier for us to measure and improve our environmental impact.

Which? Trusted Trader 10 year anniversary

Next month it’ll be 10 years since we were endorsed as a Which? Trusted Trader. We were one of the first businesses to be endorsed when the scheme started in 2014. Not many companies have reached a decade. 

There are more things we’ve got planned that we have to keep under wraps for now, but we’ll share more soon.
