TLGEC Win Largest Guernsey Solar Project
A big well done to the team in our Guernsey office, who this week signed a contract with Guernsey Electricity to deliver the largest Solar PV system in the Channel Islands.
TLGEC Guernsey won the Tender to install hundreds of SunPower Solar Panels onto the roof of one the buildings of the Power Station in Northside, Vale.
Guernsey Electricity has been providing electricity on the Island of Guernsey since 1898 and their latest venture alongside TLGEC Guernsey is just one of many initiatives to improve the energy security on the island.
Guernsey Electricity is committed to supporting local business whenever we can, and the Little Green Energy Company’s expertise matched our requirements for what will be the island’s largest solar array once it is commissioned into service.
At TLGEC, we are very excited about this Solar PV project, which will see the largest system of its kind being built in the Channel Islands. Once installed, the SunPower system will generate over 100kW of green, clean power, whilst creating energy diversity to the local supply.
We see this project as the first step to providing a greener future to Guernsey’s power needs, which is scheduled to be finished by April 2018. We have recently been involved in other ground-breaking initiatives in the world of renewables and this is a great opportunity to reduce carbon emissions even further.
